What is this section All about?...

Quite simply, many people/businesses take the time to have a wonderful web site created for them, but then have no idea on how to maintain it. We at Fife Web Solutions are more than happy to undertake this on your behalf.

Many sites will not actually require much in terms of maintenance. Once set up, they may only require minimal changes etc. However, if the information on your pages changes on a regular basis, you will either need to learn how to update it and keep it current, or you will need to find someone who can. This could range from an hour per week, to possibly more, depending on the level of work involved.

What kinds of change/maintenance requirements can I expect?...

Ideally, not that much. However if you have a business web site, chances are your products/services will change, also prices may change. These may vary from month to month, some months you may not even require any changes.

Having said this, it is good practice to check your website on a daily basis, to ensure that there are no issues with your web host, that no links are broken (if referring to outside websites etc), and that no other bumps and flaws occur. This may take minutes, it may take longer, depending on the size and content of your web site.

How much would it cost to have FWS maintain my site?...

This figure is calculated based on each individual project. Most sites will only require mimimal maintenance, therefore it is not unlikely that you may only wish to purchase 2 hours per month. (Larger, more complex web sites may require more.)

Can I request one-off changes to my site?...

Yes. FWS are happy to undertake any necessary changes, as and when required by the client. The charge will be based on the work involved, and a quote will be given in advance. No work will be undertaken until the fee has been agreed, and both parties are happy.

** We are also happy to undertake changes to websites created by other web developers.

What if I decide to not take additional maintenance coverage?...

That is not a problem. You may feel that none is necessary, and be happy to check the web site regularly yourself. However, again, if needed, we are only an email away.

How do I request FWS to maintain my site?...

Once you have taken time, and considered this option, and would like Fife Web Solutions to maintain your web site, simply email using the link below. Please include the URL to your web site, and also give as much information as possible, relating to the type of maintenance required.

** Under NO circumstance will we bill you for un-necessary maintenance. If we feel that you are requesting too much, we will advise you of this before an agreement is made.
